Privacy Policy

Visit information. Each time you open a page we record the time, the page viewed, the site that sent you (referrer), your browser and device type (user agent), and your IP address.

Approximate location. From your IP address we estimate your city, state/region and country. This is approximate and never your precise location. We do not use GPS.

Google account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and record when you joined and last signed in. We never see your Google password.

On your device. Saved cards and the number of cards viewed as a guest are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. Sign-in also keeps a session in your browser.

• To run the site and keep you signed in.
• To understand how many people visit, from roughly where, and which pages they use, so we can improve the cards.
• To detect abuse, spam and security problems.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Visit records and account details are visible only to the site owner through a private admin dashboard. Our hosting, database and sign-in providers (including Google) process data on our behalf to operate the service. An IP-location service may receive your IP address to estimate your city.

We may disclose information if required by law.

Visit records are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Account information is kept while your account exists. Data in your browser stays until you clear it.

We use browser storage only for sign-in and to remember your saved cards and guest progress. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

• You can use Hooke Type for a limited number of cards without signing in.
• You can clear your browser storage at any time to remove saved cards and guest progress.
• You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to delete your account.
• Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, including to object to processing or file a complaint with a regulator.

Hooke Type is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Data is sent over encrypted connections and access to it is restricted to the site owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
